Florrie forde & Marie Kendall on Film 1934

Postby Gmemg » 30 Nov 2014, 00:30

This is a wonderfully atmospheric clip of Florrie Forde - it comes from a Film "say it with Flowers" made in 1934 which features several Music Hall Acts, i'm not sure if any others are on U - Tube but his is probably the best

I know many collectors have the 12" Columbia record "Florrie Forde Memories" and it's more or less the same as this but the film is priceless, one of the songs is "has anybody here seen Florrie ? F.o.r.d.e................

I have found another on U - Tube Marie Kendall singing "just like the Ivy"

The Seven Social Sins are:
Wealth without work. Pleasure without conscience. Knowledge without character .Commerce without morality. Science without humanity. Worship without sacrifice. Politics without principle.

Money. Greed. Naivety. Falsehoods. Exploitation. Welcome to the wonderful world of gramophones!
