"Memories of a Cad" Terry - Thomas Radio 4

Postby Gmemg » 22 Dec 2016, 22:29

This is a delightful play about a fictional meeting between terry-Thomas and Richard Briers in the sad later times when Terry -Thomas had Parkinson's disease - that may make it sound rather unpleasant but actually it is great fun with Martin Jarvis a very convincing Terry - Thomas and Alistair McGowan as a slightly less convincing Richard Briers

Well worth listening to if you have the time

Apart from Classic FM, I never listen to the radio, but having always liked TT, I decided to click on the link you provided.

I really enjoyed the programme, with both characters seeming very accurate to me.

It was quite moving, and listening to it I realise that there are gems that one misses by ignoring 'the wireless'.

Thanks for the pointer to an interesting three-quarters of an hour.

I'm glad that you enjoyed it - i always listen to radio 4 particularly in the Car and although i usually avoid "the Archers" because it had just come off the M40 i hadn't the opportunity to turn them off and so heard this and was delighted

they really should make more like this - i did hear a programme about Prince Ras Monolulu recently it's also worth ;listening to - especially his death .............
